Fundraiser

Tonight is the Colton's Fundraiser for PTO! We will get 10% of all proceeds!! So go eat a great meal and support a great group! The funds we raise tonight will go towards purchasing Projector system for the lower grade classrooms. The projectors cost around $475 each, plus accessories for installation. So don't forget to go eat at Colton's!!

DQ Fundraiser

Join Dairy Queen and PTO in a fundraiser on Thursday April 7th. DQ will donate $1.50 from each Blizzard purchased between 3:00pm and closing to PTO. Funds will be used to buy projectors to work with the new interactive Mimio Teach boards for the lower grade classrooms.

NO PTO Next Year

At this point there is no president for PTO next year. If there is no President, there is no PTO. Our last scheduled meeting is April 5th. Please if you want to have PTO, and the support we give the school- show up for this meeting. If there is no PTO there will be no carnival, no chili supper, no 8th grade graduation gifts, no kindergarten graduation gifts, no extra funds for needed classroom supplies, no funds for new technology. If there is no PTO our school will be at a great disadvantage.

• Folding tables for school & PTO use
• Scientific calculators for upper grade math
• Overhead projector supplies
• Chili supper supplies
• In-service lunches
• Graduation gifts for 8th and K
• Math Club calculators
• Track and PE supplies
• Outdoor play equipment for Pre-K and K
• Interactive white board technology for 4th-K (similar to Smartboards)
• CD conversion equipment for music
• Thermometer for the nurse & Pre-K
• New bus radio

NEW Park Bench

Many thanks go out to Ozark Independent Living for the new park bench. They donated the funds for us to put a beautiful new eight foot park bench on the preschool playground. It’s great for teachers and students alike.

Spirit Week UPDATE

School will be back in session tomorrow!! So we will pick up Spirit Week with Black and White day tomorrow!!!

Feb 1: Black and White Day (Show your school spirit dress up in black & white)
Feb 2: Wacky Hair Day (Wear your fav crazy hairstyle)
Feb 3: Anything Goes Day (Dress silly, while staying with our school dress codes)
Feb 4: Inside Out Day (Wear your Fav clothes inside out)

There's no school today, so we are moving the PTO meeting to next Tues Jan 18th at 6:30 in the Cafeteria as a board meeting will be going on in the Library.

Welcome Back

PTO hopes you all had a wonderful Christmas Break. We are glad to see you back with us. The January Calendar and menu are now up on the main site. Sorry it took a couple of days to get that done. There are several things going on this month so be sure to check the calendar out. One thing to be sure to remember is the next PTO meeting is Jan 11th at 6:30pm in the library. Please come join us. The more volunteers we have the more we can accomplish. We have over 200 students in Howell Valley, yet there are only an average of 8 parents at the PTO meetings. We could really use some help. We have several things planned for the spring. Also, please remember that come May we will be needing a new PTO president. There are also other offices to be filled as well. Remember if we each do something small we can accomplish great things.
